JOB PURPOSE:
The Sr. DevOps Engineer is responsible for DevOps and Test Environment Support activities. The role contribution to the technical design, development, and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems and providing enhancements to existing technologies. This role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas and performs tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The incumbent collaborates with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements and conduct research to evaluate the application of new and emerging tools and techniques. The role identifies patterns and best practices to consider in technology proposals while anticipating long-term business issues and devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, developing project plans based on appropriate standards and methodology. The role also focuses on incident management, certificate management and setting troubleshooting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Build & Deploy:
- Design, develop,



and maintain build and automated code deployment systems.
- Deploy Java EE, Java and Go applications on RedHat Linux, Windows, Azure DevOps and RedHat OpenShift.
- Install, configure, manage, API microservices in Development and System Integration Environments running on Linux/Windows platform.
- Install, configure, manage, and administer RedHat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
- Develop scripts of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic application systems designs and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
- Define, build, and deploy Docker Container Images.
- Provide on-call support to ensure rapid recovery of application failures and participate in the coordination of Production implementations.Participate in post-implementation reviews by providing recommendations for
- improving application development and deployment processes.
