Job Purpose

The PGT English will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language and literature instruction to senior secondary students, developing solid communication and analytical skills, preparing students for board examinations, and contributing to the overall academic and co-curricular development of students.

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school curriculum and academic objectives.
Teach English Language and Literature to senior secondary classes.
Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Use innovative, student-centred teaching methodologies and appropriate digital resources.
Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners.
Conduct remedial and enrichment activities wherever required.




Academic Planning & Assessment
Prepare annual, term-wise, monthly, and lesson plans.
Set question papers, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
Analyse student performance and implement appropriate interventions.
Prepare students effectively for board examinations and competitive assessments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Classroom Management
Maintain a positive, inclusive, disciplined, and respectful classroom workplace.
Establish explicit expectations for student behaviour and academic performance.
Monitor student attendance, participation, and progress.
Follow the school's child safeguarding, discipline, and No Touch Policy at all times.
Student Development
Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal development.
Encourage participation in debates, elocution, c
