Job Description – PPC (Injection Moulding)

Position: PPC Executive – Injection Moulding
Location: Vallam / Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu

Job Objective

To plan, schedule, monitor and control injection-moulding production activities to achieve customer delivery requirements while optimizing machine capacity, mould availability, material availability, manpower and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans for injection-moulding machines.
- Plan production based on customer orders, delivery schedules, inventory levels and machine capacity.
- Prepare machine-wise and mould-wise production schedules.
- Prioritize urgent and critical customer requirements.
- Monitor plan vs. actual production and take corrective action for deviations.

2. Machine Capacity Planning

- Plan machine loading based on machine tonnage, mould compatibility, cycle time and cavity configuration.
- Monitor machine utilization and identify overloading or under-utilization.
- Calculate production capacity based on available working hours, cycle time and cavity.
- Coordinate machine allocation to optimize production flow.

3. Mould Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate with Tool Room/Mould Maintenance for mould availability.
- Plan mould changes and changeover activities.




- Track mould breakdown, preventive maintenance and repair status.
- Ensure mould availability according to the production schedule.
- Coordinate for new mould trials and production release.

4. Material Planning

- Check availability of plastic raw materials, masterbatch, inserts and other production materials.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for material shortages.
- Follow up on incoming material against the production plan.
- Maintain appropriate WIP and finished-goods inventory levels.

5. Production Monitoring

- Monitor machine-wise production against the daily plan.
- Track cycle-time deviations, downtime, breakdowns and changeover losses.
- Follow up on production shortages and bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with production supervisors/operators to recover production losses.
- Ensure production plans are achieved within the required timelines.
- Inventory availability
- Customer order fulfillment

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Preferred: 6 months – 1 year of experience in PPC / Production Planning in an injection-moulding or plastic manufacturing environment.

Experience in automotive/plastic components or other discrete manufacturing environments will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
