Service Engineer – Pumps

Job Summary

We are looking for a Service Engineer – Pumps to handle installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of industrial pumps at customer sites. The candidate should have good technical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact professionally with customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of industrial pumps.
- Attend customer complaints and identify the root cause of pump-related problems.
- Troubleshoot issues related to pumps, motors, mechanical seals, bearings, coupling, alignment, and piping.
- Conduct pump inspection and prepare service/inspection reports.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance at customer locations.
- Check pump performance, vibration, noise, temperature, pressure, flow, and current.
- Perform pump dismantling, assembly, servicing, and replacement of spare parts.
- Support customers in proper pump operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate with the sales and technical teams for service-related requirements.
- Recommend suitable spare parts and provide technical inputs for repair or replacement.
- Maintain proper service records, customer feedback, and job completion reports.
- Travel to customer sites as required for service and commissioning activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in pump service,



rotating equipment, mechanical maintenance, or a similar field. Freshers with good technical knowledge can also apply.
- Basic knowledge of centrifugal pumps and industrial pumping systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, motors, and pump alignment is preferred.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and pump datasheets.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Valid driving licence is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience with centrifugal pumps, sewage pumps, dewatering pumps, pressure booster systems, industrial pumps, and related rotating equipment will be an added advantage.
