Job SummaryThe Project Engineer (Civil) serves as a key liaison between the project management team, site supervisors, and external stakeholders. This role involves planning, executing, and overseeing civil engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety regulations and engineering design standards.Core Responsibilities Project Planning & Management
- Execute project schedules: Monitor progress timelines and milestones to keep the project on track.
- Review design drawings: Interpret, review, and cross-verify structural, architectural, and MEP drawings for constructability and errors.
- Coordinate resources: Manage day-to-day coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and site labor.
Cost & Material Control
- Track budgets: Monitor project expenses, material costs, and labor hours against the approved budget.
- Manage billing: Prepare, review, and certify contractor invoices, progress billings, and variation orders.
- Procurement support: Estimate material quantities (Take-offs) and coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery. Quality Control & Safety
- Enforce QA/QC standards: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction works match specifications and quality standards.
- Implement safety protocols: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines at the construction site.
- Resolve technical issues: Troubleshoot engineering problems and material conflicts encountered during construction.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily logs: Keep precise records of site activities, weather conditions, labor strength, and material deliveries.
- Prepare progress reports: Generate weekly and monthly status updates for Project Managers and clients.
- Manage RFIs and Submittals: Draft Request for Information (RFI) documents and track approvals from consultants or clients.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Engineering Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera P6. Knowledge of Revit or civil design software is a plus.
- Blueprint Reading: Advanced ability to read and interpret complex civil, structural, and architectural blueprints.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage vendors, clients, and field workers.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset capable of handling unexpected structural variations or delays.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Typically requires 8 to 25 years of hands-on experience in construction site management (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects).
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Skilled (PMP) certification is a strong advantage.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work on active construction sites, walk long distances, and adapt to varying weather conditions.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
