Role Overview
The Interior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of assigned interior projects, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed scope, timeline, budget and quality standards.
The role involves close coordination between the Design Team, Project Engineering Team, Factory/Manufacturing Team, vendors, contractors, suppliers and clients.
The ideal candidate should be highly organised, technically solid, proactive in problem-solving and comfortable taking ownership of multiple moving parts on an interior project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Take complete ownership of assigned interior projects from design handover to final completion.
- Review the approved design, drawings, BOQ, scope of work, specifications and project requirements before execution.
- Prepare and maintain project execution schedules and milestones.
- Break down projects into activity-wise execution plans and monitor progress against timelines.
- Coordinate dependencies between civil, electrical, carpentry, modular furniture, painting, false ceiling, flooring, plumbing and other trades.
- Identify potential execution bottlenecks in advance and take corrective action.
- Ensure projects progress according to the approved sequence and schedule.
2. Site Management
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor day-to-day execution.
- Coordinate with site labour/contractors.
- Ensure site activities are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify dimensions, levels, alignment, installation and workmanship.
- Coordinate site readiness before commencement of each activity.
- Ensure proper protection of completed works and materials at site.
- Maintain site discipline, cleanliness and safe working practices.
3. Design & Technical Coordination
- Review drawings and designs before execution and identify technical or site-related issues.
- Coordinate with the Design Team to resolve design clarifications and site constraints.
- Ensure that no deviation from approved drawings is executed without appropriate approval.
- Coordinate site measurements and verify critical dimensions before manufacturing or installation.
- Ensure coordination between 2D drawings, 3D designs, BOQ, cutlists and actual site conditions.
- Identify design-to-execution gaps and communicate them proactively to the relevant team.
4. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate and manage contractors, installers, fabricators and specialised vendors.
- Allocate work and establish expected completion timelines.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity and workmanship.
- Ensure vendors adhere to Antara Haus quality and execution standards.
- Coordinate material delivery, installation and rectification activities.
- Track pending works and ensure timely closure.
- Escalate persistent vendor performance or quality issues.
5. Procurement & Material Coordination
- Coordinate sourcing of required materials to ensure availability as per project schedule.
- Prepare and communicate material requirements sufficiently in advance.
- Track material orders, expected delivery dates and site requirements.
- Verify received materials against specifications and quantities where required.
- Identify material shortages, damages or specification mismatches immediately.
- Coordinate urgent procurement requirements to prevent project delays.
- Ensure materials are properly stored and handled at site.
6. Quality Control
- Maintain high standards of workmanship across all project activities.
- Conduct regular quality inspections at critical stages.
- Check dimensions, alignment, finish, detailing, installation and functionality.
- Ensure modular furniture and site works meet approved design specifications.
- Identify defects and coordinate rectification with the responsible contractor/vendor.
- Maintain snag lists and track closure of all observations.
- Conduct pre-handover quality inspections and ensure all punch-list items are closed.
7. Client Coordination
- Act as the primary project execution point of contact for the client where required.
- Communicate project progress, upcoming activities and site requirements clearly.
- Coordinate client approvals required for execution.
- Manage expectations regarding timelines, site conditions and execution requirements.
- Escalate design changes, scope changes and potential cost/time impacts to management before committing.
- Ensure client concerns are recorded, assigned and closed systematically.
- Maintain a professional and solution-oriented relationship with clients.
8. Project Cost & Scope Control
- Ensure execution remains within the approved project scope and BOQ.
- Identify additional works, variations and scope changes before execution.
- Obtain appropriate approval for changes before committing resources or costs.
- Monitor material wastage and avoid unnecessary rework.
- Coordinate with the management/accounts team regarding project-related commercial matters where required.
- Highlight potential cost overruns or commercial risks at an early stage.
9. Project Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project tasks and follow-ups are recorded in the company's task management system.
- Maintain project schedules, site reports, material requirements, snag lists and progress updates.
- Submit regular project status reports covering:
- Work completed
- Work in progress
- Planned activities
- Labour/contractor status
- Material availability
- Material requirements
- Delays and risks
- Client dependencies
- Quality issues
- Decisions/approvals required
- Ensure project information is current and accessible to the relevant internal teams.
10. Project Handover
- Coordinate final project completion and snag closure.
- Conduct final quality checks before client handover.
- Ensure all installations, hardware, appliances, lighting and furniture are functional.
- Coordinate cleaning and final site preparation.
- Ensure project documentation and relevant warranties/manuals are collected where applicable.
- Obtain project completion and client handover confirmation.
- Coordinate post-handover rectification during the applicable defect-liability period.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
