Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Machine Maintenance Technician to handle preventive, breakdown and corrective maintenance of injection moulding machines. The role will primarily focus on mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, machine troubleshooting and ensuring maximum machine availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems of injection moulding machines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot injection unit, clamping unit, hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders and hydraulic circuits.
- Handle maintenance of screw & barrel, tie bars, toggle mechanisms, gearboxes, bearings, couplings and lubrication systems.
- Identify and rectify hydraulic oil leakage, pressure problems, abnormal noise, vibration and mechanical failures.
- Carry out inspection, replacement and alignment of mechanical components.
- Support mould changeover, machine setup and machine commissioning activities.
- Maintain machine lubrication systems and ensure proper lubrication schedules are followed.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, machine history and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure availability of critical mechanical and hydraulic spare parts.
- Support improvement activities to increase machine reliability, availability and OEE.




- Follow all plant safety procedures during maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–10 years of hands-on experience in injection moulding machine maintenance.
- Strong experience in mechanical maintenance of Injection Moulding Machines (IMM).
- Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic circuits.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders and pressure-control systems.
- Knowledge of injection unit and clamping unit mechanisms.
- Experience with screw & barrel, tie bars, toggle mechanism, gearbox, bearings and couplings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and hydraulic breakdowns.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Positive understanding of machine lubrication, alignment and mechanical assembly.
- Experience in manufacturing / plastics / automotive component manufacturing preferred.

Preferred Machine Experience

Experience with machines from manufacturers such as:

ENGEL, ARBURG, Haitian, FANUC, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, NISSEI, Toshiba, JSW, KraussMaffei, Milacron

Education

- Diploma/Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
- Relevant hands-on experience in injection moulding machine maintenance is highly preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
