Position: Head Librarian
Experience: 18+ Years

Eligibility & Qualifications

- M.Lib / M.Lib.I.Sc. / BLIS / relevant Library Science qualification
- UGC-NET qualified
- Ph.D. in Library & Information Science preferred/required
- 18+ years of relevant experience in academic/university libraries
- Candidates who have worked with reputed Universities / Higher Education Institutions will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall functioning of the University Library.
- Develop and implement library policies, systems, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage library resources, digital databases, e-resources, journals, and collections.
- Lead a team of library professionals and support staff.
- Ensure effective utilization of technology and modern library management systems.
- Support students, faculty, researchers,



and academic departments with information resources.
- Manage budgeting, procurement, subscriptions, and vendor coordination.
- Promote research support, knowledge resources, and digital library initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable UGC, NAAC and other higher-education standards.
- Drive innovation and modernization of library services.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a senior library professional with strong academic leadership, administrative, digital library, research-support, and team-management experience, preferably gained in a reputed university or higher education institution.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month
