We are looking for caring, responsible, and hardworking Patient Care Assistants / Ward Care Assistants to join our rehabilitation centre. The role involves assisting patients with their daily care needs and supporting the nursing and rehabilitation team in maintaining patient comfort, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with transferring and repositioning patients safely.
- Provide support to patients who have difficulty walking or moving.
- Assist with feeding patients as instructed by the nursing team.
- Carry out regular patient positioning as per the care plan.
- Assist nurses and other healthcare staff with patient-care activities.
- Help maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms and ward areas.
- Assist with changing bed sheets and maintaining patient surroundings.
- Support patients during physiotherapy and other rehabilitation activities when required.
- Observe patients and immediately report any changes or concerns to the nurse in charge.
- Follow instructions given by nurses, doctors, and supervisors.
- Ensure patient safety while moving, transferring, or assisting patients.
- Maintain a respectful, patient, and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
- Follow all centre rules, infection-control practices,



and safety procedures.
- Perform other patient-care responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred Candidate

- Previous experience in a hospital, rehabilitation centre, nursing home, or home-care setting is preferred.
- Candidates with experience caring for bedridden, stroke, paralysed, elderly, or dependent patients will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of patient hygiene, feeding, positioning, and mobility assistance.
- Physically fit and able to assist patients with transfers and positioning.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Should be responsible, punctual, and willing to work in shifts.
- Should have a caring and respectful attitude towards patients.

Qualification

- Minimum: 10th / 12th standard preferred.
- Healthcare or patient-care experience will be an advantage.

- Rotational shifts
- Weekly off as per duty roster
