We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Infrastructure Services Consultant to join our Infrastructure Services team.

This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, optimization, and support of customer-hosted and cloud-based ERP environments, with a strong focus on Linux systems, virtualization, ERP application infrastructure, and customer service excellence.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, consultants, support teams, and project stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing environments while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & System Administration

- Configure, maintain, and support customer ERP environments, including abas ERP systems.
- Administer and maintain Linux-based server infrastructures and related technologies.
- Manage virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure components.
- Perform system health checks and proactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure infrastructure reliability, availability, and performance.

Installation, Upgrades & Maintenance

- Install and configure ERP application updates, patches, service packs, and upgrades.
- Perform Linux operating system updates and maintenance activities.
- Support customer migrations, platform upgrades, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Validate system functionality after maintenance activities and upgrades.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization

- Monitor systems, services, and infrastructure components to identify and address issues proactively.
- Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and system optimization activities.
- Investigate infrastructure bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Implement best practices for system stability, security, and operational efficiency.

Customer Support & Communication

- Act as a technical point of contact for customers regarding infrastructure-related topics.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, upgrades, and service requests with customers.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support incident resolution and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Collaboration & Project Delivery

- Work closely with Consulting, Helpdesk, Professional Services,



and Development teams.
- Participate in customer projects, infrastructure implementations, and cloud initiatives.
- Support project planning, execution, and post-implementation activities.
- Contribute technical expertise to cross-functional project teams.

Remote Access & Security Administration

- Manage and maintain customer remote support and maintenance connections.
- Support network connectivity, firewall configurations, and secure remote access solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement

- Document processes, standards, and technical procedures.
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to team members.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and service improvements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Education

- Secondary education diploma, technical degree, or equivalent professional experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

- 3-5 years of professional experience in Infrastructure Services, Linux System Administration, Managed Services, or a comparable technical role.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

- Strong experience in Linux system administration, server infrastructure, and operating system architecture.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or similar platforms.
- Experience managing enterprise application environments and supporting business-critical systems, including ERP and related infrastructure.
- Proven experience performing system upgrades, patching, maintenance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Solid understanding of system monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and remote connectivity solutions.




- Experience with remote access, remote support, and customer maintenance technologies.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Docker, and modern infrastructure technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams while maintaining a structured, quality-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting ERP systems, preferably abas ERP.
- Knowledge of Docker and container technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments and managed services.
- Experience working within customer-facing consulting or professional services organizations.
- German language skills are considered an advantage.
