About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager – Assembly Operations to take complete ownership of our assembly production lines across the Pune and Vasai units.

The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in assembly-line production, line balancing, manpower management, production planning and shop-floor supervision. The person will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining quality and timely fulfilment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day assembly production and shop-floor operations.
- Plan daily and monthly production as per order and dispatch requirements.
- Manage and monitor assembly lines, workstations and production flow.
- Carry out line balancing to improve manpower utilization and production output.
- Allocate manpower across different assembly stations according to workload and skill.
- Set and monitor daily production targets and productivity.
- Monitor worker productivity, attendance and utilization.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, components and packaging materials before production starts.
- Coordinate with stores, inventory and warehouse teams for material readiness.
- Supervise the complete assembly process from component preparation to finished product.
- Identify production bottlenecks, delays and manpower constraints and take corrective action.
- Implement processes to improve production efficiency, output and turnaround time.
- Maintain production quality and ensure proper assembly as per product specifications.
- Coordinate with the quality team to identify and reduce rejection, rework and wastage.
- Supervise packing, labeling and movement of finished goods to the warehouse.




- Coordinate with the warehouse and dispatch team to ensure production is aligned with PO and shipment requirements.
- Maintain daily production reports covering target vs. actual production, manpower, productivity, rejection and pending production.
- Manage and train skilled and unskilled workers on assembly processes and work standards.
- Ensure proper discipline, safety and housekeeping on the production floor.
- Travel to the Vasai unit when required to monitor and manage production operations.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in electrical, electronics, consumer products, small appliances, electrical accessories or similar assembly-based manufacturing will be preferred.

Candidates with strong experience managing multiple assembly lines and high-volume manpower will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in production/assembly operations.
- Must have experience managing assembly lines and production workers, not only production reporting or planning.
- Strong understanding of line balancing, takt/output planning, manpower productivity and shop-floor processes.
- Should be comfortable working directly on the production floor and managing day-to-day operational issues.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to travel between Wagholi and Vasai as required.
