Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced TGT – English with strong subject expertise and the ability to deliver engaging, concept-driven instruction at the Secondary level. The candidate should be academically sound, confident in communication and committed to achieving strong learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective English lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop students' proficiency in literature, language, grammar, reading, writing and communication.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning resources, assignments and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely academic feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and implement appropriate remedial and enrichment strategies.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, effective communication and independent learning.
- Maintain academic records, assessment data and other required documentation.
- Manage classroom activities effectively and maintain a positive learning workplace.
- Conduct language and literary activities such as debates, discussions, creative writing, reading activities and presentations.
- Communicate student progress and relevant concerns with parents and the academic team.
- Coordinate with subject teachers and academic leadership for curriculum planning and implementation.
- Participate in examinations, assemblies,
school events and co-curricular activities.
- Follow school academic policies and applicable CBSE requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Post-Graduation / Master's Degree in English – Mandatory.
- B.Ed. from a recognized / NCTE-recognized institution – Mandatory.
- Candidate must meet the applicable qualification requirements for TGT English under relevant norms.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience – Mandatory.
- Experience teaching English at the Secondary level – Mandatory.
- CBSE school experience – Preferred.
Essential Skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of English language, literature and pedagogy.
- Effective lesson planning, assessment and classroom management skills.
- Ability to use interactive and technology-enabled teaching methods.
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Professional approach towards students, parents and colleagues.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience as a TGT English / Secondary English Teacher in a reputed school, particularly those with CBSE experience and demonstrated academic outcomes, are encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to candidates with strong subject knowledge, effective classroom delivery and a proven ability to engage Secondary-level learners.
Pay: ₹10,749.06 - ₹33,795.46 per month
