Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and organized School Librarian to manage the school library, support students and teachers in accessing learning resources, and promote a strong reading and research culture among students.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain the school library, including books, journals, periodicals, and digital resources.
- Maintain accurate records of books, issue/return transactions, and library inventory.
- Assist students and teachers in locating appropriate books and learning resources.
- Encourage students to develop regular reading habits through reading programs and library activities.
- Organize books systematically and ensure proper classification and cataloguing.
- Monitor the condition of library materials and coordinate repair or replacement when required.
- Assist teachers in identifying resources that support the academic curriculum.
- Conduct library orientation sessions for students and familiarize them with library rules and resources.
- Maintain a quiet, disciplined,



and welcoming library setting.
- Prepare reports related to library usage, inventory, new acquisitions, and other library activities.
- Recommend new books and educational resources based on students' and teachers' requirements.
- Ensure the library is updated with relevant educational and age-appropriate materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree; Bachelor/Master’s degree in Library Science (B.Lib./M.Lib.) preferred.
- Prior experience as a school librarian will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of library management and cataloguing systems.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with library management software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with students of different age groups.
- Patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about promoting reading and learning.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience in a school or educational institution is preferred.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
