Job Description – MEP Engineer

Position: MEP Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an MEP Engineer to coordinate and supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works for residential construction projects. The candidate will ensure that MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and supervise MEP works at residential project sites.
- Review MEP drawings and coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and site teams.
- Ensure proper execution of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other MEP services.
- Check drawings, layouts, measurements, and service requirements before execution.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and site supervisors.
- Monitor the quality and progress of MEP works and ensure timely completion.
- Identify site-level MEP issues and provide practical solutions.
- Coordinate MEP requirements with civil and architectural works to avoid clashes and rework.
- Verify materials and ensure they comply with approved specifications.
- Monitor testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Maintain site reports, checklists, measurements, and other project documentation.




- Assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating MEP activities.

Qualification & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in MEP works, preferably in residential construction.
- Candidates with experience in residential projects will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and layouts.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Robust site supervision and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and project documentation.
- Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and activities.
- Willingness to visit and monitor project sites regularly.

Key Objective

To ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services are properly coordinated, executed, tested, and completed in line with project requirements, quality standards, budget, and schedule.
