Position: Freight Broker

Location: Mohali, Punjab
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM
Salary: ₹27,000 – ₹40,000 CTC + Incentives
Incentive: Up to 40%
USD Exchange Rate: ₹83/USD

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and generate new shipper/customer accounts through cold calling, email outreach, referrals, and other sales channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and transportation partners.
- Understand customer freight requirements, including origin, destination, equipment type, load size, and delivery timelines.
- Source and negotiate competitive rates with reliable carriers and trucking companies.
- Match available freight with suitable carriers based on lane, equipment, rate, and availability.
- Negotiate freight rates with both customers and carriers to maintain profitable margins.
- Coordinate with carriers and customers to ensure smooth pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Track loads and provide regular shipment updates to customers.
- Handle rate confirmations, load details, and other required freight documentation.
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve issues such as delays, missed appointments, breakdowns, or communication gaps.
- Maintain accurate records of customers, carriers, loads, rates, and transactions in the company's systems.
- Develop long-term customer relationships and work toward increasing repeat business and overall revenue.
- Meet individual and team sales, booking, revenue, and margin targets.





Requirements

- 1–5 years of experience in freight brokerage, freight sales, logistics, transportation, or US trucking.
- Candidates with experience in US freight brokerage / US logistics will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of the US trucking and freight industry.
- Positive knowledge of freight lanes, equipment types, carrier operations, and basic transportation terminology.
- Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong cold-calling and business-development skills.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with shippers and carriers.
- Strong follow-up, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a US night shift environment.
- Target-oriented and motivated by performance-based incentives.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with the operations team.
