Gaming Short-Form Content Creator

Absurd Games is seeking a creative Gaming Short-Form Content Creator to join our dynamic game development team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming existing gameplay footage from our games into engaging short-form content for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create engaging short-form videos from existing gameplay footage.
- Identify funny, interesting, surprising, satisfying, or visually appealing moments from gameplay.
- Edit videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other short-form platforms.
- Add engaging text, captions, sound effects, music, memes, transitions, and voiceovers where appropriate.
- Create strong hooks in the first few seconds to capture viewer attention.
- Keep up with current gaming, meme, editing, and social media trends and adapt them to our game.
- Experiment with different video formats, hooks, captions, and editing styles.
- Maintain a consistent content pipeline and posting schedule.
- Analyze video performance and use insights to improve future content.

What you should have:

- Strong understanding of short-form content and social media trends.
- Strong video editing skills with an understanding of pacing, timing, hooks, and retention.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar.




- Ability to create engaging videos using existing gameplay footage without requiring new footage to be recorded.
- Ability to add effective voiceovers, captions, text, sound effects, and music to videos.
- Good sense of humor and creativity.
- Robust understanding of what makes content clickable, watchable, and shareable.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools for content creation is a plus.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and content performance is a plus.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Experience creating gaming content or running gaming-focused social media accounts is preferred.

Experience:

0–2 Years

Freshers with a strong portfolio or personal social media accounts demonstrating good short-form content creation skills are encouraged to apply.

Portfolio:

Portfolio is mandatory for screening.

Candidates should provide examples of their previous Shorts, Reels, TikToks, gaming edits, meme videos, or other short-form content. A personal YouTube/Instagram/TikTok account can also be submitted as a portfolio.
