HR Operations Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a data-driven and process-oriented HR Operations Specialist/Manager to oversee and optimize our daily human resource infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level HR strategy and tactical execution, ensuring our HR information systems (HRIS), payroll, onboarding, and compliance protocols run smoothly and accurately. The ideal candidate possesses a mix of strong technical aptitude, deep knowledge of labor laws, and a passion for refining operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding workflows to ensure a seamless experience for incoming and departing employees.
- Maintain personnel files and digital data repositories across the entire employee timeline.
- Track leaves of absence, attendance, and paid time off (PTO) tracking systems.
- Conduct exit interviews and compile analytical insights to improve organizational retention.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Manage monthly payroll processing in alignment with corporate finance teams and external vendors.
- Administer employee benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement accounts, and wellness programs.
- Execute compensation adjustments such as annual increments, spot awards, and bonuses.
- Resolve employee queries regarding payroll errors, deductions, or statutory payouts quickly and empathetically.
HR Systems & Data Analytics
- Oversee HRIS administration to ensure flawless data governance, system permissions, and organizational hierarchy.
- Track operational HR metrics including turnover rates, headcount distribution, time-to-hire, and transaction speeds.
- Build analytics dashboards to provide senior leaders with clean, actionable data for smarter workforce planning.
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline repetitive, manual tasks and eliminate workflow errors.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Enforce labor law compliance and align daily workflows with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and document unified internal company policies.
- Support HR audits by maintaining accessible, well-structured documentation and compliance records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Hands-on HRIS experience with systems like Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Advanced data analytics proficiency, especially utilizing Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and dashboarding tools.
- Deep labor law expertise regarding payroll taxes, statutory benefits, and regional workplace regulations.
Soft Skills & Core Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail when handling sensitive, private, or complex employee data arrays.
- Strong process-mapping abilities to identify workflow bottlenecks and map scalable improvements.
- Clear cross-functional communication to collaborate seamlessly with Finance, Legal, and external vendors.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 3years of experience directly managing HR operations, payroll setups, or general HR administrative pipelines.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
