IT Technician

Job Location: Exhibition Road, Patna, Bihar
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹23,000 per month
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible IT Technician to provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain computer systems and networks, and ensure smooth IT operations across the organization.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of computer hardware, networking, Windows OS, software installation, troubleshooting, printer/scanner configuration, and MS Excel. The candidate should be comfortable handling technical issues independently and maintaining proper IT records.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day IT and technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT peripherals.
- Install, configure and maintain Windows operating systems and computer software.
- Diagnose hardware problems and coordinate repairs/replacements when required.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and basic networking issues.
- Set up new computers, user accounts, email accounts and required software.
- Manage antivirus, system updates and basic IT security requirements.
- Troubleshoot printer, scanner and network connectivity issues.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, hardware, software and accessories.
- Track computer equipment issued to employees and maintain asset registers.
- Perform regular system checks and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain backup-related records and assist with basic data backup procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for hardware, networking and other technical requirements.
- Maintain documentation of technical issues, repairs and resolutions.
- Provide technical assistance during meetings, presentations and other office activities when required.
- Ensure IT equipment is properly maintained and available for daily operations.
- Prepare regular IT/MIS reports using MS Excel.




- Perform data entry, data cleaning, sorting, filtering and reporting in Excel.
- Maintain IT-related trackers such as asset lists, repair records, inventory and issue logs.
- Carry out any other IT-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:

- Good knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting
- Windows installation, configuration and troubleshooting
- Basic LAN/WAN and networking knowledge
- Knowledge of IP address, DNS, DHCP and network connectivity
- Router, switch and Wi-Fi configuration basics
- Printer and scanner installation/troubleshooting
- Software installation and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of antivirus and system security
- Hardware diagnosis and preventive maintenance
- Basic knowledge of data backup and system maintenance

MS Excel Skills:

- Data Entry and Data Management
- Sorting & Filtering
- Basic formulas and functions
- Basic Excel reporting and MIS preparation
- Maintaining trackers and databases
- Good knowledge of formatting and organizing data

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience as an IT Technician, IT Support Executive, Desktop Support Engineer or similar role will be preferred.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple technical issues and prioritize tasks.
- Should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
- Should have good working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Candidates available to work from Exhibition Road, Patna are preferred.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of relevant IT support/technical experience preferred.

Compensation

₹18,000 – ₹23,000 per month, depending on skills and relevant experience.

Working Schedule

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full time
