- Ensure the OT is cleaned, disinfected, and prepared before each surgery.
- Check functionality of OT lights, suction, cautery, anesthesia equipment, and monitors.
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, trays, and equipment as per the surgery list.
- Maintain sterility while opening instrument sets and consumables.
- Assist in positioning patients as instructed by the surgeon or anesthetist.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by providing instruments, sutures, and equipment as required.
- Handle instruments safely and efficiently to maintain surgical flow.
- Ensure proper use of OT equipment such as cautery, suction, endoscopic devices, etc.
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow strict infection control protocols.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunction immediately.
- Record use of instruments, consumables, and implants.
- Maintain equipment usage logbooks.
- Follow NABH standards for OT safety, infection control, and sterilization.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
