Production Floor Supervisor / Manager

Reports To: Operations/Plant Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the shop floor of our sheet metal fabrication unit. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets are met efficiently, maintain high-quality standards, enforce safety protocols, and foster a collaborative team environment. This role offers a unique prospect to gain hands-on experience in setting up lean manufacturing systems and optimizing production processes to align with best industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

- Plan and schedule production based on the orders and the given data provided.
- Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and ensure optimal equipment and manpower to utilization maximize output.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in production processes.

Quality Assurance

- Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring compliance with company and job specifications.
- Implement quality control measures and address defects promptly.

Team Leadership

- Supervise and mentor production staff, including die setters, machine operators, welders, and assemblers.




- Provide ongoing training to enhance technical skills and productivity.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and team-oriented work culture.

Safety and Compliance

- Enforce workplace safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.

Qualifications and Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical/ Production Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience: Freshers with a zeal to learn may apply. Experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding and use of Excel sheets
- Should have basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and processes
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability with a focus on process optimization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
