About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with 6+ years of experience to design, build, and execute automated test solutions across enterprise applications. You will bring robust test automation skills combined with solid domain knowledge — embedding quality as a first-class concern across Agile delivery teams. This is a hands-on technical QE role requiring strong coding ability, deep automation framework expertise, and a shift-left quality mindset.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks covering UI, API, integration, and E2E testing layers.
- Develop automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright supporting functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
- Build and maintain REST API test automation suites using RestAssured, Karate, or Postman covering API contracts and business logic validation.
- Write unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito collaborating with developers to improve code testability and test coverage.
- Build and maintain BDD test frameworks using Cucumber and Gherkin working with product owners and BAs to define business-readable acceptance criteria.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines implementing quality gates that prevent defective code from reaching production.
- Champion shift-left testing practices engaging with developers and architects early in the delivery lifecycle.




- Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter or Gatling validating application scalability under realistic load conditions.
- Manage defect triage and reporting logging, prioritising, and tracking defects in Jira with clear business impact assessment.
- Mentor and coach junior QE team members sharing automation expertise across the team.

What We're Looking For

- 6+ years of quality engineering experience with strong hands-on technical automation expertise.
- Strong automation skills using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright building scalable, maintainable frameworks from scratch.
- Solid Java or Python skills writing production-quality test automation code.
- Proven REST API testing expertise using RestAssured, Karate, or Postman.
- Experience with BDD frameworks including Cucumber and Gherkin for business-readable test scenario automation.
- Strong CI/CD integration experience embedding quality gates into Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Good SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation testing.
- Strong shift-left testing mindset engaging early in the delivery lifecycle to define testability and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills working effectively across developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.

Nice to Have

- Performance and load testing experience using JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
- Contract testing experience using Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
- Accessibility testing knowledge including WCAG standards and Axe tools.
- AI assisted testing tools including Mabl, Testim, or Applitools.
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification.
- Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or regulated industry environments.
