Sunder Spices Pvt. Ltd. is a spice manufacturing company engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of quality spice products under the Sundar Masala brand. We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to manage inventory operations, stock accuracy, warehouse activities, and material movement across the organization.

Job Summary

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for the effective management and control of raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and other stores items. The position requires solid knowledge of inventory control, warehouse management, ERP systems, stock reconciliation, batch/lot tracking, FIFO/FEFO, and coordination with various departments.

Key Responsibilities-

1. Inventory Management

- Manage day-to-day inventory operations for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods and other store items.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software and physical stock registers.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimum inventory availability.
- Establish and monitor minimum, maximum and reorder levels.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, excess and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper identification, tagging, storage and movement of all materials.

2. Raw Material & Packaging Material Control

- Manage inventory of spices, herbs, ingredients, additives and other raw materials.
- Control packaging materials such as pouches, laminates, cartons, labels, boxes and other consumables.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Production departments regarding material requirements.
- Verify material receipts against purchase orders and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper batch/lot-wise recording and traceability.

3. Finished Goods Inventory

- Maintain accurate finished goods stock on a SKU-wise and batch-wise basis.
- Coordinate with Production and Dispatch teams for receipt and movement of finished goods.
- Ensure proper storage and systematic arrangement of finished products.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Monitor expiry/near-expiry stock and coordinate timely action.

4. Stock Reconciliation & Physical Verification





- Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with ERP/system stock.
- Investigate and report shortages, excess stock and discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly and periodic inventory reconciliation reports.
- Coordinate stock audits and provide necessary records to management/accounts/auditors.

5. Warehouse Management

- Ensure proper utilization and organization of warehouse space.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for spices and food-related materials.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, pest-control and safety standards are followed in the warehouse.
- Implement proper material identification and location management.
- Ensure safe handling and movement of materials.

6. Documentation & MIS

- Maintain GRN, material issue, material transfer, stock adjustment and other inventory-related records.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports.
- Prepare stock ageing, consumption, shortage/excess and inventory movement reports.
- Maintain batch-wise and item-wise inventory records.
- Provide accurate inventory data to management for decision-making.

7. Coordination with Other Departments

- Coordinate with Purchase for incoming materials and pending purchase orders.
- Coordinate with Production for material issues, consumption and production requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control for inspection, rejection, quarantine and release of materials.
- Coordinate with Dispatch/Sales for finished goods availability and dispatch requirements.
- Coordinate with Accounts for inventory reconciliation and valuation-related information.

8. Inventory Control & Cost Management

- Reduce inventory losses, wastage, pilferage and material discrepancies.




- Monitor material consumption against production requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover and warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure inventory adjustments are properly authorized and documented.
- Maintain proper control over damaged, rejected and returned materials.

9. Team Management

- Supervise and guide store/warehouse staff.
- Allocate daily work and monitor team performance.
- Ensure proper discipline and adherence to warehouse procedures.
- Train employees on inventory handling, documentation, safety and SOPs.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Warehouse Operations.
- Experience in FMCG/Food/Spice Manufacturing will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of ERP/Inventory Management Software.
- Good command of MS Excel and inventory-related MIS reporting.
- Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, batch/lot tracking and stock reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good numerical and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Purchase, Production, QA, Dispatch and Accounts.
- Strong team-management and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualification

Minimum Qualification: Graduate in any discipline.

Preferred: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Logistics, Operations or a related field.

Experience

5–10 years of relevant experience in inventory/store/warehouse management.

Candidates with experience in spice, food, FMCG or manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
