Job Description – Maintenance Person

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled Maintenance Person to handle day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of hospital facilities, equipment, and basic infrastructure. The person will ensure that electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other maintenance-related issues are attended to promptly.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of hospital infrastructure and facilities.
- Attend to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, civil, and basic mechanical maintenance work.
- Identify and resolve breakdowns and maintenance complaints promptly.
- Maintain electrical switches, lights, fans, sockets, panels, and other basic electrical systems.
- Attend to plumbing issues such as leakage, taps, washrooms, drainage, and water supply.
- Support preventive maintenance activities for hospital equipment and facilities.
- Maintain records of maintenance complaints, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with external vendors and technicians whenever specialized repairs are required.
- Ensure proper functioning of essential hospital utilities and services.
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requirements, especially in critical areas such as ICU, OT, emergency, and wards.




- Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and fire-safety procedures while carrying out maintenance work.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance materials properly.
- Report major faults, recurring issues, and material requirements to the Maintenance/Administration Head.
- Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify common technical problems.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond to urgent maintenance calls.
- Physically capable of performing routine maintenance activities.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

1–3 years of relevant experience preferred, particularly in a hospital, hotel, commercial building, or other facility workplace.

Working Conditions

- Full-time hospital-based position.
- May be required to work in shifts or attend emergency maintenance calls when required.
- Must be available to support critical hospital areas when urgent maintenance issues arise.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
