Job Overview

SSPYV is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified PRT English Teacher to teach English at the primary level. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, sound knowledge of primary-level teaching methodologies, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for young learners.

The teacher will be responsible for developing students' foundational skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary, while encouraging creativity, confidence, and a genuine interest in the English language.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach English to primary classes (Classes I–V) in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and activity-based lessons to develop students' language skills.
- Strengthen students' skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, classroom activities, assignments, and other appropriate learning resources.
- Encourage students to develop effective communication skills, creativity, and confidence in using English.




- Assess and monitor students' academic progress through classwork, homework, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate remedial and differentiated learning strategies.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom setting.
- Encourage good handwriting, reading habits, vocabulary development, and written expression among students.
- Use creative teaching methods, storytelling, role play, reading activities, language games, and other interactive strategies to make learning enjoyable.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, academic performance, assessments, and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress, behaviour, and areas requiring improvement.
- Participate actively in school assemblies, competitions, celebrations, examinations, meetings, training programmes, and other school activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators for effective curriculum planning and implementation.
- Support the overall discipline, safety, well-being, and holistic development of students.
- Uphold the values, policies, culture, and educational vision of SSPYV at all times.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in English or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching English at the primary level (Classes I–V) is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in using digital teaching tools and educational technology will be an advantage.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
