Job Description – Operations Manager (Retail)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensure smooth business functioning, and drive operational efficiency, sales performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores.
- Ensure stores follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Monitor store sales, targets, productivity, and overall performance.
- Coordinate with Store Managers and provide guidance to improve store performance.
- Ensure proper manpower planning, staff deployment, attendance, and discipline.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, stock transfers, and stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Accounts, HR, Visual Merchandising, and other departments.
- Ensure proper implementation of visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
- Monitor customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Conduct regular store visits and identify operational gaps and improvement areas.
- Ensure proper handling of billing, cash, discounts, returns, exchanges, and other store processes.
- Monitor shrinkage, stock loss, and operational discrepancies and take corrective action.




- Prepare and review regular operational and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.
- Handle operational issues and resolve them promptly in coordination with relevant departments.
- Support management in implementing new processes, policies, and business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate degree preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in retail operations.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good knowledge of retail store operations and inventory management.
- Ability to manage multiple stores and teams effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting/analysis.
- Willingness to travel between stores as required.

- Store productivity and manpower efficiency.
- Inventory accuracy and stock control.
- Reduction in operational losses/shrinkage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
