Position Title: Jr. Web Developer / UI Developer

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery/Java script and Ajax.
- Deep expertise and hands on experience with Bootstrap framework.
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software.
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
- Assisting the web development team with all aspects of website and application design.
- Assisting with the testing and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and programming trends.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a web developer; demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks with support.

Specific Knowledge/Requirements:

- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize,



or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Solid understanding of web design and development principles.
- Valuable planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of software prototyping and UX design tools.
