The Hartford's Corporate IT organization is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Software Engineer to join Enterprise Risk Management IT (ERMIT) as part of the GIS team. This role's primary responsibilities are the ownership, administration, stability, security, and ongoing operation of the enterprise ArcGIS platform, supporting critical underwriting, claims, and risk management capabilities across the firm. The position emphasizes end-to-end accountability for ArcGIS Enterprise system administration, cloud-hosted infrastructure, enterprise geodatabases, and automated data and ETL workflows. The successful candidate will own and operate platform components hosted in AWS, spanning both Windows and Linux environments, and will be responsible for driving platform stability, security, scalability, and operational excellence. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals, an AI mindset, deep hands-on experience with Esri technologies, and the ability to independently manage, evolve, and harden GIS platforms and data pipelines with minimal oversight.
