- Write concise summaries and full-length articles based on provided source materials.

- Present complex information clearly while maintaining appropriate context and factual accuracy.

- Maintain research notes, citation trails, and source documentation to support transparency and verification.

- Participate in editorial reviews and revise work based on feedback.

- Identify and correct factual, structural, or sourcing issues during the review process.

- Communicate research findings clearly in written and verbal formats.

- Collaborate remotely with editorial and project stakeholders.

Requirements

- 4+ years of professional experience as a reporter or correspondent at a recognized media organization.

- Background in investigative journalism, business reporting, science reporting, or another research-intensive beat.

- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of source material into clear, structured narratives.

- Strong source verification and fact-checking skills.

- Proven ability to produce factual, verifiable reporting rather than opinion or commentary.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to explain complex subjects accurately and clearly.

- Familiarity with journalistic standards for transparency, citations, source attribution, and public records.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience conducting investigative or analytical reporting using extensive public records and documentary sources.

- Experience working with government records, research reports, corporate documents, scientific publications, or other primary-source materials.

- Strong understanding of journalistic narrative structures, including the lead and inverted pyramid.

- Experience maintaining detailed research trails and source documentation.

- Experience collaborating remotely with editorial, research, or project teams.

- Experience with AI evaluation, content quality assessment, or AI training projects is helpful but not required.

Quality Standards

Successful work should be:

- Factually accurate and supported by verifiable sources.

- Based on the provided documents and public-source evidence.

- Clear, concise, and appropriately contextualized.

- Structured according to established journalistic practices.

- Free from unsupported claims, speculation, and personal opinion.

- Transparent about sources and research methodology.

Compensation & Engagement

- Hourly rate: $40–$75/hour.

- Annual compensation equivalent: $83,200–$156,000 based on a 40-hour workweek.

- Independent contractor engagement.

- Remote work arrangement.

- Actual earnings depend on hours worked and available project tasks.

- No prior AI or machine learning experience is required.
