We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Test Engineering Senior Professional to join our dynamic team at Hitachi, Ltd. This role involves leading and executing complex testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products and systems.

The Role
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software components and systems.
Lead and mentor junior test engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in software quality assurance.
Automate testing processes using various tools and frameworks, including developing and maintaining automated test suites.
Perform functional, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing across the software development lifecycle.
Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with product management, development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing scope.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide insightful feedback to improve product quality and development efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with emerging testing technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Configure and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, VLANs, routing, and network security settings, to support integrated software, hardware, and industrial system testing.

What youll bring - Job Qualifications




Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
5- 9 years of progressive experience in software development test engineering, with a strong focus on automation.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript) for test automation development.
Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG).
Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and quality assurance principles.
Experience with various testing types, including functional, non-functional, API, and UI testing.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and test management tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a quick-paced, complex environment.

Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including managed switches, VLANs, TCP/IP networking, routing, and related connectivity technologies in development, test, or production environments.

Experience with object storage technologies, data lake house architectures, and modern data platforms used to support analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions.
Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, data engineering concepts, and validation of data pipelines, models, and AI-enabled applications.
