Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
- Develop and modify COBOL programs based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain CICS online programs and transactions.
- Write, modify, and troubleshoot JCL for application execution and batch processing.
- Develop and optimize DB2 SQL queries, tables, and stored procedures as required.
- Work with VSAM files including KSDS, ESDS, and RRDS.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
- Analyze production issues and provide timely fixes.
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment activities.
- Review code and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams,



and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed applications.

Required Skills

- COBOL Strong development experience.
- CICS – Hands-on experience with online transaction processing.
- JCL – Strong knowledge of batch job development and troubleshooting.
- DB2 – Good knowledge of SQL, queries, and database concepts.
- VSAM – Hands-on experience with VSAM file handling and processing.
- Solid knowledge of Mainframe development and SDLC processes.
- Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
