We’re looking for a Creative Designer to join the Purplechalk team.

Someone who loves making things, has a good eye, thinks in ideas and understands that a great creative is not just about making something look beautiful - it’s about making people stop, notice and feel something.

You’ll work across social media, branding, e-commerce, and digital, so no two days will look the same. One day it could be a campaign concept; the next, an Instagram carousel, an illustration, a GIF, or a website banner.

Key Responsibilities

- Coming up with creative ideas and visual directions for social media
- Designing posts, carousels, stories, reels covers and campaign creatives
- Creating illustrations, graphic elements and visual assets
- Making GIFs and simple motion/animated content
- Designing for e-commerce - website banners, product creatives, campaigns and digital communication
- Working with brand identities and ensuring everything feels consistent and considered
- Taking a brief and turning it into something better than what was originally imagined
- Working closely with the copy and social teams to build campaigns and content
- Handling multiple projects and keeping things moving within agreed timelines
- Being involved from the initial idea right through to the final creative

Experience





You have 1–2 years of professional design experience and are comfortable working in a fast-moving creative environment.

You should

- Have a solid understanding of social media
- Understand branding and visual identity
- Have experience with e-commerce and digital design
- Be confident with typography, layout, colour and composition
- Be comfortable with illustration and creating your own visual elements
- Know your way around GIFs / basic motion
- Have a good sense of what looks current without simply following every trend
- Be able to take a brief and think for yourself
- Be open to feedback and comfortable with revisions
- Pay attention to the little things
- Be able to manage multiple deadlines without losing the quality of your work

NOTE:

- If you’ve experimented with AI tools for ideation, image generation, visual exploration or speeding up your creative process, great. But AI is not a requirement. We care much more about your design thinking, creativity and execution.
- If you’ve worked at a creative, branding, advertising or digital agency, that’s a plus.

Chennai / Tamil Nadu candidates are preferred. This is a full-time role.
