Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Backend Engineer position based in Kolkata. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Core Java, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability. Daily responsibilities include implementing REST APIs, integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) components, and working with SQL and MongoDB databases for data modeling, query optimization, and data access layers.

Engineer will collaborate closely with product, QA,



and front-end teams to deliver secure, well-documented services, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architecture discussions. The role also includes troubleshooting production issues, improving system observability, and following best practices in testing, security, and deployment.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building robust server-side applications.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts, particularly with Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Front-End Development teams to design and implement clean REST APIs and service contracts.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases and MongoDB, including schema design, performance tuning, and data access optimization.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and integration of backend services with AI/ML-driven components is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with unit and integration testing, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
