: Motor Mechanic (Textile Industry)

Position: Motor Mechanic

Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair of AC/DC motors used in spinning, weaving, sizing, and processing machines.
Dismantle, inspect, service, rewind (if required), and assemble electric motors.
Diagnose and rectify motor faults, overheating, vibration, bearing failures, and winding issues.
Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
Monitor motor performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
Replace bearings, seals, couplings, shafts, and other motor components.
Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams during breakdowns.
Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts consumption details.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures.




Support installation and commissioning of recent motors and machinery.

Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Maintenance, Motor Rewinding, or related field.
Additional certification in motor maintenance or electrical systems is preferred.

Required Skills
Robust knowledge of industrial motor maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience in motor rewinding, bearing replacement, and alignment.
Understanding of electrical circuits, insulation testing, and motor protection systems.
Ability to read electrical drawings and maintenance manuals.
Knowledge of textile machinery and plant maintenance practices.
