A UK-based accountancy firm is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our growing team.

Position: Accounts Executive

Experience: 1–2 years

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) /Masters or equivalent

Industry: UK Accounting / Accountancy Practice

Key Responsibilities

Assist with bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting activities.

Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records.

Perform bank and account reconciliations.

Assist with preparation of year-end accounts.

Assist with VAT returns and other accounting compliance work.

Review client records and identify missing or incorrect information.

Communicate with clients to obtain outstanding accounting information.

Work with senior accountants on various client assignments.

Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent accounting qualification.

1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an accountancy practice.





Good understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.

Practical knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Willingness to learn UK accounting and taxation procedures.

Desirable

Experience working with UK clients.

Knowledge of UK VAT and basic taxation.

Experience with Sage, IRIS or other accounting software.

AAT/ACCA studies would be an advantage.
