A project engineer in a control panel manufacturing unit is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects related to the design, development, and production of control panels. This involves coordinating with various teams, managing resources, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and adhering to project timelines and budgets. They also play a key role in troubleshooting and providing technical support during manufacturing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

· Project Planning and Execution:

Defining project scope, creating detailed work plans, and establishing timelines.

· Design and Development:

Understanding designing control panels using CAD software, developing wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts, and selecting appropriate components.

· PLC Programming and HMI Development:

Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), developing HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens, and ensuring proper integration with other systems.

· Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:

Knowledge of BOM and ability and managing BOMs for control panels, including electrical and automation components.

· Quality Control and Testing:

Ensuring that control panels meet quality standards and conducting testing to verify functionality.

· Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Providing technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning, and troubleshooting issues related to control systems.

· Collaboration and Communication:

Working closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers, and communicating project progress to stakeholders.

· Compliance and Safety:

Ensuring that control panels are designed and manufactured in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.





· Site Visits and Installation:

Conducting site visits for installation, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial automation solutions.

· Documentation:

Preparing and maintaining detailed documentation of control panel designs, including drawings, schematics, and operating procedures.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· Experience: Minimum 5 yrs proven experience in similar field

· Technical Skills:

Knowledge of design software (Auto CAD, EPLAN, etc.), PLC programming, HMI development, and knowledge of electrical components and systems.

· Project Management Skills:

Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

· Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.

· Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.

· Knowledge of Industry Standards:

Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations (IEC, UL, NEC, etc.).

In a manufacturing unit, the project engineer might also be involved in:

· Optimizing designs for manufacturability:

Collaborating with production teams to improve the design of control panels for efficient manufacturing.

· Supporting procurement and manufacturing:

Coordinating with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of components and smooth production.

· Continuous improvement:

Identifying opportunities for improving the design, functionality, and cost-effectiveness of control panels.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
