Department: Financial Reporting
About the Team
The Reporting team is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, and regulatory compliance across the organization. The key activities of the team include:
- Performance analysis: Review and analyse segment-wise Profit & Loss, including premiums, investments, claims, commissions, and expenses.
- Financial reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements under IGAAP and IND AS, and support transition to new standards such as IND AS 117.
- Planning and forecasting: Develop Profit & Loss projections based on past trends, market inputs, and discussions with stakeholders.
- Regulatory reporting: Prepare and submit reports to IRDAI and SEBI in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitoring key metrics: Track solvency, loss ratio, combined ratio, and other key indicators, and highlight areas of improvement.
- Investor communication: Support preparation of investor presentations and quarterly updates with clear and relevant information.
- Process improvement: Drive automation and improve reporting processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
About the Role
- Investor Reporting & Communication - Assist in preparation of earnings presentations, investor factsheets, analyst briefing materials, and annual reports.
- Financial & Peer Analysis - Monitor analyst reports, investor feedback, peer performance, and market trends.
- Investor CRM Management - Partner with technology teams to design, implement, and enhance the Investor CRM platform, Maintain an up-to-date database of investors, analysts, and market participants.
- Capital Markets Intelligence - Track industry developments, regulatory changes, analyst reports, news flow, and market trends impacting the business.
- Consolidated financial statements – Preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements
- Analysis of Management Expenses – Review the Company's expenses monthly, identify key trends and major changes, and highlight areas where costs can be reduced.
- Preparation of IND AS Workings and Journal Entries – Prepare workings and pass accounting entries related to Ind AS standards, including Ind AS 116 and Ind AS 109.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Chartered Accountant
- Experience: Fresher/ less than 1 year of experience
- Skills in: Understanding of Indian Accounting Standards. Sound understanding of IND AS
- Tech Mastery: Solid proficiency in Excel and financial modelling. Familiarity with AI tools, automation solutions, and data analytics platforms will be an added advantage.
- Bonus Power-Up:Good understanding of financial markets and how they function, including key drivers of investment performance.
