IT Technician

Location: Karyam Road, Nawanshahr, Punjab – 144514
Reporting To: Senior IT Head
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Summary

KC Group of Institutions is looking for a skilled and responsible IT Technician to support the day-to-day IT operations of the institution. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Senior IT Head and assist in maintaining computer systems, networks, hardware, software, and other IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to staff, faculty, and students for IT-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software-related problems.
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and networking systems.
- Install and update operating systems, software, drivers, and security updates.
- Provide technical support for projectors, smart classrooms, CCTV, biometric systems, and other IT-enabled equipment, as required.
- Monitor and maintain IT equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
- Assist the Senior IT Head in routine IT maintenance and infrastructure-related activities.
- Maintain records of IT assets, repairs, installations, and equipment movement.
- Identify technical issues and escalate major problems to the Senior IT Head.




- Ensure proper data backup and follow institutional IT security procedures.
- Provide on-site technical assistance during meetings, events, examinations, and other institutional activities.
- Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by the Senior IT Head/Management.

Required Qualification

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant technical certifications or experience will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of networking, LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common office applications.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as under the supervision of the Senior IT Head.
- Willingness to provide technical support across different departments of the institution.

Experience

- Freshers may apply.
- Candidates with relevant IT support/technical experience will be preferred.
