Scaffolding Supervisor – Mechanical

Job Summary

Responsible for supervising and coordinating scaffolding activities for mechanical construction, erection, maintenance, piping, equipment installation, and shutdown/turnaround works. Ensure all scaffolding is erected, modified, inspected, and dismantled safely and in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise scaffolding erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling activities.
- Coordinate scaffolding requirements with Mechanical, Piping, Construction, and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure secure access and working platforms for mechanical installation and maintenance activities.
- Verify scaffolding stability, bracing, ties, platforms, guardrails, toe boards, and access arrangements.
- Ensure scaffolding is inspected, tagged, and approved before use.
- Monitor scaffolders, manpower, productivity, and daily work progress.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and utilization of scaffolding materials.
- Identify unsafe conditions and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Maintain daily scaffolding records, inspection reports,



and material requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with project HSE procedures and work-at-height requirements.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- 3–8 years of experience in scaffolding supervision within mechanical, industrial, oil & gas, power, refinery, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in piping, equipment erection, mechanical maintenance, and shutdown/turnaround activities preferred.
- Scaffolding competency and work-at-height certification will be an advantage.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems and safe erection practices.
- Good understanding of mechanical construction and maintenance activities.
- Ability to read basic scaffolding drawings/layouts.
- Strong manpower coordination, leadership, and site supervision skills.
- Good knowledge of HSE and work-at-height requirements.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 per month
