Job Title: Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Planning & Project Controls

Department: Planning / Project Management

Reporting To: General Manager / Managing Director

Compensation: Offered Salary: ₹65,000 – ₹75,000 per month (Salary no bar for deserving candidates)

Brief Job Description

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Planning leads strategic scheduling, cost control, resource management, and progress monitoring across complex construction or engineering projects. Acting as a core bridge between executive management, site execution teams, and clients, this senior role establishes baseline schedules, tracks project variances using Earned Value Management (EVM), mitigates operational risks, and drives Extension of Time (EOT) delay claims to ensure on-time and budget-compliant project delivery.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Master Scheduling & Baseline Execution: Architect end-to-end master project schedules (WBS) and baseline programs using Primavera P6 or MS Project to drive critical path execution across multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Cost Control & EVM Monitoring: Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) frameworks to continuously monitor Cost Variance (CV) and Schedule Variance (SV), providing real-time financial and schedule transparency to executive leadership.
- Resource Optimization & Histogram Analysis: Plan and optimize resource histograms (manpower, equipment, materials) to directly align site deployment with project milestones, drastically reducing idle time and operational overhead.
- Quantitative Risk & Delay Analysis: Perform variance analysis to detect execution bottlenecks early,



deploying prompt recovery schedules and preparing rigorous time-impact analyses to substantiate Extension of Time (EOT) and financial delay claims.
- Executive MIS & Interdepartmental Coordination: Drive daily, weekly, and monthly progress dashboards and cash flow forecasts while facilitating seamless alignment across engineering, procurement, tendering, billing, and site execution departments.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Technical Planning Tools: Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, WBS structuring, Critical Path Method (CPM), and PERT.
- Project Controls & Analytics: Earned Value Management (EVM), Delay Impact Analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) Claim Preparation, Quantitative Risk Mitigation, and Executive MIS Dashboarding.
- Commercial & Financial: Cost Control, Budget Variance Analysis, Cash Flow Forecasting, Resource Histogram Optimization, and Contract/Claim Management.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Cross-functional Team Coordination, Vendor/Subcontractor Alignment, Strategic Problem-Solving, and Executive Technical Reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / D.C.E in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (
- Experience Requirement: 25+ years of extensive, proven experience in project planning, project controls, and scheduling leadership within Large-scale Construction sectors.
- Candidates with experience in Construction (contractor companies) will be preferred.

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
