Secure Innovative is engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of Physical Security, Entrance Control and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) solutions for critical infrastructure, defence, airports, data centres, government facilities and commercial projects.

Our product portfolio includes crash-rated bollards, road blockers, tyre killers, crash-rated barriers, HVM gates, boom barriers, turnstiles, flap barriers, swing gates and other customized security solutions.

Job Purpose

Secure Innovative is looking for a Senior Design Engineer – Product Development with strong hands-on experience in mechanical product design, new product development and engineering solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for taking products from concept → engineering design → prototype → testing → certification → production, while ensuring performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

* Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) projects.

* Develop new HVM and physical security products based on customer and market requirements.

* Prepare product concepts, engineering specifications and design concepts.

* Develop prototypes and coordinate prototype testing.

* Analyse test results and implement design improvements.

* Support product launch and transition from design to production.

Mechanical Design

* Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.

* Design fabricated, sheet-metal, machined and welded components.

* Perform mechanical design calculations for loads, strength, deflection and component sizing.

* Prepare BOM, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and detailed part drawings.

* Apply appropriate tolerances, GD&T; and design standards.

HVM & Security Product Design

* Design and improve crash-rated bollards, road blockers, tyre killers, barriers and HVM gates.





* Develop designs considering vehicle impact loads, structural integrity and installation requirements.

* Support development of products targeted for K4, K8 and K12 performance levels.

* Work on customized HVM solutions according to project requirements.

* Support product development for Indian and international markets.

Hydraulic & Electro-Mechanical Systems

* Design and integrate hydraulic cylinders, power packs, valves, manifolds and hydraulic circuits.

* Carry out hydraulic actuator sizing and basic pressure/flow calculations.

* Integrate mechanical systems with motors, sensors, limit switches and control systems.

* Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical problems during testing and installation.

Manufacturing & Production Support

* Work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement and Projects teams.

* Ensure designs are practical and optimized for laser cutting, CNC bending, machining, welding and fabrication.

* Resolve design-related production issues.

* Implement Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA).

* Identify opportunities for material optimization and manufacturing cost reduction.

Testing & Certification

* Prepare product test plans and validation procedures.

* Coordinate prototype and performance testing.

* Support third-party testing and certification activities.

* Prepare technical documents required for product qualification.

* Support compliance with applicable ISO, EN, ASTM and other relevant standards, including HVM/crash-testing requirements.

Continuous Improvement

* Improve existing products for performance, reliability and serviceability.

* Conduct Value Engineering and Cost Reduction activities.

* Standardize components across product ranges.

* Analyse field failures and implement permanent engineering solutions.

* Maintain proper drawing revisions and Engineering Change Notes.





Required Technical Skills

* Strong knowledge of mechanical product design and product development.

* Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo / Inventor or equivalent.

* Strong knowledge of sheet-metal and heavy fabrication design.

* Positive understanding of welding, CNC machining, laser cutting and CNC bending.

* Knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic power packs.

* Good understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.

* Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance and engineering drawing standards.

* Ability to perform basic structural and mechanical calculations.

* Knowledge of ANSYS / FEA will be an added advantage.

* Experience with product testing and certification will be preferred.

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on mechanical design professional who can independently convert an idea or customer requirement into a manufacturable, tested and commercially viable product.

Experience in HVM, crash-rated products, hydraulic systems and heavy fabrication will be a significant advantage.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
