Seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber / Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ensuring the comfort and safety of the facility's occupants while maintaining compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Plumber / Maintenance Technician – Seafood Processing Plant

Primary Responsibility – Plumbing & Water Systems

- Carry out installation, inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of all plumbing systems within the seafood processing plant.
- Maintain and repair water supply pipelines, process-water lines, wash-down lines, drainage pipelines, valves, taps, fittings, and sanitary fixtures.
- Attend to water leakage, pipe bursts, blockages, low water pressure, valve failures, and drainage problems promptly.
- Inspect pipelines regularly and identify potential leaks, corrosion, damage, or other defects.
- Maintain floor drains, drain channels, wastewater lines, and processing-area drainage systems.
- Carry out pipe cutting, threading, joining, fitting, replacement, and basic pipe fabrication work.
- Maintain and troubleshoot water pumps, pressure systems, tanks, valves, and associated plumbing equipment.
- Ensure proper water flow and drainage in processing rooms, washing areas, utility areas, toilets, changing rooms, and other plant facilities.
- Support maintenance of hot-water and cold-water supply systems, wherever applicable.
- Maintain plumbing systems associated with cold rooms, refrigeration utilities, cleaning systems, and production areas, as required.
- Respond quickly to plumbing breakdowns that may affect production, cleaning, hygiene,



or food-safety operations.
- Maintain adequate stock of plumbing tools, fittings, valves, pipes, and essential spare parts.

Supporting Electrical & General Maintenance

- Perform basic electrical maintenance such as replacing switches, sockets, lights, cables, and minor electrical components, where qualified.
- Assist electricians and maintenance personnel during major electrical or mechanical maintenance activities.
- Attend to general plant maintenance involving doors, fixtures, equipment fittings, pumps, and other utilities.
- Assist with preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Trade Certificate in Plumbing preferred.
- Experience in seafood processing, food processing, cold storage, industrial, or commercial plumbing will be an advantage.
- Strong practical experience in industrial plumbing and water/drainage systems preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and general maintenance is an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

A hands-on technician with strong practical knowledge of industrial plumbing , capable of independently handling day-to-day plumbing maintenance and emergency breakdowns in a seafood processing environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
