JOB DESCRIPTION – MOTHER TEACHER

Position: Mother Teacher
Location: Katihar, Bihar

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated Mother Teacher who can create a safe, joyful, and engaging learning environment for young children. The candidate will be responsible for academic development, classroom management, personal care, and the overall emotional and social well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct age-appropriate, activity-based and child-centric teaching.
- Teach foundational concepts such as English, Hindi, numbers, basic EVS, rhymes, stories, and general awareness.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, and classroom activities.
- Create a warm, safe, disciplined, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Provide individual attention and support to students according to their learning needs.
- Monitor and maintain records of students' academic and developmental progress.
- Encourage good habits, manners, communication skills, confidence, and social behavior.
- Support children during classroom activities, meals, playtime, and other school routines.
- Maintain classroom hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' progress and development.
- Participate in PTMs,



school functions, celebrations, workshops, and other activities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and school management.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Graduate preferred.
- NTT / Montessori / ECCE / D.El.Ed. qualification will be an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Mother Teacher / Pre-Primary Teacher / Primary Teacher preferred.
- Freshers with positive communication skills and a passion for teaching may also be considered.

- Good classroom-management abilities.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Knowledge of activity-based and play-way learning methods.
- Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be responsible, patient, well-groomed, energetic, and child-friendly, with the ability to combine teaching with the nurturing and caring responsibilities expected from a Mother Teacher.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
