Job Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental procedures at the construction site.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety induction programs.
- Monitor work-at-height activities, scaffolding, lifting operations, and electrical safety.
- Ensure safe working procedures for excavation, hot work and other high-risk activities.
- Verify work permits and maintain permit-to-work documentation.
- Inspect scaffolding, ladders, safety nets, barricades and access arrangements.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors and supervisors regarding safety compliance.
- Investigate incidents,
near misses and unsafe acts and maintain records.
- Maintain safety registers, inspection reports and statutory documentation.
- Ensure emergency equipment and fire extinguishers are available and maintained.
- Conduct emergency drills and support emergency-response procedures.
- Immediately report serious safety risks to the Project Manager / Management.
Required Skills
- Positive knowledge of construction-site safety practices.
- Experience in high-rise construction safety is preferred.
- Knowledge of PPE, work-at-height, scaffolding and lifting safety.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to enforce safety requirements professionally across site teams.
