Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Anaesthetist & Intensivist to join our hospital on a full-time basis. The candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthesia services, managing critically ill patients, and overseeing perioperative and intensive care services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide pre-operative assessment and anaesthesia planning for surgical patients.
- Administer and monitor general, regional, spinal, and other appropriate forms of anaesthesia.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anaesthetic depth throughout procedures.
- Manage patients during the post-operative recovery period and address anaesthesia-related complications.
- Provide critical care and ICU management for critically ill patients.
- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other forms of respiratory support.
- Handle medical emergencies, including airway emergencies and cardiac arrest situations.
- Perform and supervise airway management, including intubation where clinically indicated.
- Monitor haemodynamic status and provide appropriate critical-care interventions.
- Coordinate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care.




- Participate in emergency procedures and critical-care consultations.
- Maintain accurate anaesthesia records, ICU notes, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and applicable clinical guidelines.
- Participate in ICU rounds, morbidity/mortality reviews, clinical meetings, and quality-improvement activities.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and clinical staff where required.

Eligibility

- MBBS with MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Experience in anaesthesia, ICU, critical care, emergency management, and ventilator management preferred.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Medical Council/NMC.
- Strong clinical decision-making and emergency-management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work full-time and participate in emergency/ICU duties as required.
