Role Responsibilities – Test Engineer

- Define verification criteria for features, functions, and field testing.
- Plan and perform testing using simulation, rig tests, and physical vehicles.
- Perform feature testing such as:
- Performance and fuel consumption
- Wind resistance and soiling
- Climate testing
- Durability testing
- Noise testing

- Understand function requirements and define test targets.
- Manage customer relationships for field testing.
- Define test strategies for new technologies and field tests.
- Identify verification needs and prepare test requirements and test plans.
- Plan, prepare, and execute tests.
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and manage fault/issue reports from testing.
- Document results and prepare engineering reports (ER).




- Continuously improve test methods and technical requirements.
- Develop test methods for new technologies and transport solutions.
- Support testing activities across recent markets and test sites.
- Take responsibility for test codes and test methods.
- Act as a technical expert / go-to person in the assigned area.
- Train and mentor junior/less experienced team members.
- Build and maintain a technical network across the organization.
- Work independently, take ownership of tasks, and show a proactive approach to learning and development.
- Typically requires 2–5 years of relevant experience.
