Job Description for Senior Manager - Training at Axis Max Life Insurance

As a Senior Manager - Training at Axis Max Life Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills and capabilities of our workforce. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that align with the company’s objectives and contribute to employee development and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive training programs that address the needs of various departments within the organization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify training needs and establish key performance indicators to measure program effectiveness.
- Lead a team of trainers and facilitate workshops and training sessions, ensuring that content is engaging and relevant.




- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making continuous improvements as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development to ensure the company remains competitive in talent development.
- Manage the training budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

Skills and Tools Required:

- Proven experience in training and development, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Robust leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and ROI.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and employee engagement strategies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD) is a plus.
