Job Summary

Design and develop the self-service user experience, backend APIs, workflow services, and platform integrations required to submit, validate, route, track, and implement IPS/IDS policy requests.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a Backstage plugin/tile for IPS/IDS request submission, status tracking, approvals, and user feedback. · Build secure, accessible request forms with field validation, document upload, metadata capture, and explicit exception messaging. · Develop backend APIs and orchestration services for request processing, policy workflow, human approvals, and status updates. · Integrate the application with AI services for document extraction, request validation, completeness checks, classification, and recommendations. · Integrate with Trend Micro APIs for approved policy deployment and implementation validation. · Integrate with ServiceNow APIs for change creation, updates, closure, and change-control traceability. · Integrate with GitHub/GitOps repositories for Policy-as-Code versioning, review, promotion, and audit history. · Implement role-based access, authentication, authorization, API security, error handling, logging, and traceability.



· Create reusable components, unit tests, API documentation, and technical design documentation. · Support code reviews, defect resolution, performance tuning, deployment, UAT, and production stabilization.

Skill Requirements

Strong TypeScript and Angular or React development experience · Experience developing plugins or extensions for Backstage is strongly preferred · Backend development using Node.js, Java, Python, or an equivalent enterprise stack · Robust REST API, JSON, asynchronous workflow, and integration experience · Experience with Git, pull requests, CI/CD, automated unit testing, and secure coding · Knowledge of enterprise authentication, authorization, secrets, audit logging, and API security · Exposure to AI/LLM integration, document processing, or agentic workflows is preferred · Ability to work closely with cybersecurity and platform SMEs
