Position Overview

- Role: Nitration Plant Operator / Chemical Plant Operator
- Industry: Chemical Manufacturing / Dye Intermediates
- Core Focus: Safe execution of chemical unit operations, specifically monitoring nitration reactions, managing feedstocks, and maintaining stringent process and safety controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Monitoring & Control: Oversee the daily operations of the nitration plant, tracking critical parameters such as reaction temperature, pressure, cooling water flow, and feed rates.
- Equipment Management: Handle start-up, operation, and safe shutdown of reactors, distillation columns, acid recovery systems, and associated pumps or valves.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), process safety management (PSM) protocols, and environmental regulations given the hazardous nature of nitration processes.
- Quality & Sampling: Collect regular in-process samples for quality control checks and make minor adjustments under technical guidelines to maintain output specifications.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify operational anomalies, equipment vibrations, or temperature spikes promptly,



reporting or resolving issues to prevent process hazards. Maintain clean logbooks and shift handover records.

Candidate Requirements

- Qualifications: Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Technology or ITI (Attendant Operator / Process Chemical / Instrument Mechanic) with relevant industrial experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 6 years of hands-on operational experience in a chemical manufacturing, specialty chemical, or dye intermediates plant, specifically familiar with exothermic reactions or acid handling.
- Technical Competencies: Good understanding of chemical unit operations (mixing, cooling, phase separation), DCS/PLC panel monitoring, and utilization of industrial safety gear (PPE, SCBA).
- Soft Skills: High level of alertness, safety-first mindset, ability to work effectively in rotating shifts, and strong teamwork capabilities.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
