Job Description
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing,
monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety & Setting (HSE) standards for Wind/Solar
Power Project. The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory
regulations, company safety policies, safety management, and fostering a strong
safety culture across all project activities including civil, electrical,
transmission line, substation, turbine erection, and commissioning works.
Health & Safety Management
Implement

and monitor the project-specific HSE Management System.
Ensure

compliance with applicable statutory requirements, client requirements,
and company safety standards.
Conduct

daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Monitor
-
compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
Ensure
-
proper use of PPE by all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
Conduct
-
Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
(HIRA) for project activities.
Recommend

and implement corrective and preventive actions for identified risks.

electrical safety, and first aid.
Promote

behavioral safety practices across the project.
Incident Investigation & Reporting
Investigate
-
accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and unsafe conditions.
Prepare
-
incident investigation reports and recommend preventive measures.
Maintain
-
records of incidents, observations, and corrective actions.
Track
-
closure of safety observations and action points.
Emergency Preparedness
Ensure
-
availability and maintenance of emergency response equipment.
Conduct
-
mock drills for fire, medical emergencies, and rescue operations.
Coordinate
-
with local emergency services whenever required.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain all HSE records, registers, permits, and statutory documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act, IS Standards, and other applicable regulations.
- Support internal and external HSE audits.
