We are looking for a proactive Linux System Administrator to monitor and maintain Linux-based production servers. The applications are already deployed and running smoothly; the primary focus of this role will be server uptime monitoring, infrastructure health, security, backups, and prompt issue resolution.

The candidate will coordinate with our USA-based onsite team. Strong written and verbal English communication is therefore required.

Responsibilities

- Monitor & maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu/Kali Linux/RHEL-family) and core services (NGINX/Apache, systemd, SSH, DNS, firewalls).
- Triage alerts (Prometheus/Grafana/Zabbix/Nagios, CloudWatch, etc.), investigate quickly, and restore service.
- Provide customer support: handle tickets and live chats, explain technical issues in transparent English, and follow through to resolution.
- Own incidents: document RCA, create/execute runbooks, and drive preventative fixes.
- Perform routine ops: patching, backups/restores, SSL renewals, user & access management, log reviews (journalctl/ELK).
- Automate small tasks with Bash/Python and improve monitoring checks/dashboards.
- Coordinate with the USA-based onsite team and provide clear status updates in English during incidents, maintenance, and support activities.
- Maintain documentation for servers, access management, backups, monitoring configuration, incidents, and operational procedures.

Requirements





- Fluent English communication skills—written and spoken—are mandatory, as the role requires regular coordination with the USA-based onsite team.
- 1–2 years of experience in Linux system administration or production support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across CPU, memory, disk, network, filesystems, permissions, and running services.
- Hands-on experience with Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RHEL, or similar.
- Experience with Nginx and/or Apache web servers.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, CloudWatch, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of SSH key management, user permissions, sudo access, firewalls, SSL certificates, and server hardening.
- Comfortable with Bash scripting; Python and Git basics are preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, PM2, systemd, CI/CD, and cloud/VPS hosting platforms will be an advantage.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively during production incidents.
- Willingness to work in the specified shift and provide support during scheduled urgent requirements, if needed.
- Willing to work a shift/on-call rotation (including weekends/holidays as scheduled).
